Why Do I See a Prop 65 Warning?Updated 3 months ago

California’s Proposition 65 requires businesses to post warnings if products may contain even trace amounts of certain substances — including naturally occurring elements like lead.

In food products, these trace amounts can come from soil. For example, cows consume plants grown in soil that naturally contains small amounts of heavy metals, which can then appear in dairy-based ingredients. The levels found in our products are comparable to what you would find in everyday foods, like a glass of milk.

Although we are required to display this warning for California residents, the amounts present in our products are extremely low and fall well below safety limits established by organizations like the FDA, EPA, WHO, and EU.

Prop 65 standards are set much stricter than these global safety guidelines, which is why the warning appears on a wide range of everyday items — even when there is no meaningful risk.

If you have specific health concerns, we always recommend consulting your healthcare provider.
